Can anyone tell me how to add and use a script to add the ICDA (allows 4 digits to be displayed on CDR) to the CLS of 1000 stations at once, rather than attempting to do it manually. This would be on an Option 81. Thank You,

depends on your emulation software. Procom, what?

OTM IP. I am used though to the command line.

i don't think you can scrit with otm. Scripting is based on cmd line, but you still need a terminal emulation package to impliment it. Well, I take that back maybe, I have no idea what otm can do multi change wise, but procom or another emulation will be a great tool for you to script MACs.

If you have OTM, can't you just select all ICDD and schedule a change to ICDA? I'm not an expert in that, but that was one of the reasons OTM was ever developed.

I could probably use procomm. I think John gave me instruction on how to set it up. If you use procomm, then is there just a few commands?

ideally, you could search on it here, or hopefully someone could post a script that you would have to modify very little, there are already a lot of scripts in the threads here

Ill go look. Thanks so much,

In TM you can do a global change. All you need to do is tell TM to go look at every set that has ICDD and change it to ICDA and schedule it to run when you go home. The next day all your sets will have been changed.

In OTM it is called "Global update" Here you can change one or more parameters on a number of extenions at once. In TM3 this is done as:
Search all the phones you want to edit eg Basic Search Telephones
select all the phones and hit the EDIT key
At the Edit Specification select the item to be changed
On the botton og this field choose the old and new value en hit the ADD key
Now hit the SUBMIT key and the changes wil be made....
With 1000 ext, this wil take a while

good luck
Chris
