Hello,

I was wondering if anyone might have any ideas how to create either a batch file or a vbs file that would e-mail out through exchange if activated. What I am trying to do is setup a routine so that if our server ever loses power and the UPS is activated I can set it up to start that script and it will send us an e-mail letting us know that the server is on battery power. I know with exchange you have to FTP to port 25 but not sure past that how to do that in a script format.

Thanks,
Andrew Munn

You don't FTP.

Most major brands of UPS have built in notifications that send email.

You could look at using blat. It might fill your need.
