script and simple action

let me start by saying i cannot script in Notes Script

what i know
i know that using a button with the Simple Actions commands i can receive automatic memos from users who have clicked the button.

what i have
i have a button with some script behind it - the script downloads an install and shows users a message when complete.

what i need (and can't do)
i want the button (the one i just mentioned above) to also send me a memo to tell me that the users have downloaded the install - the only problem is that when i try to add a simple action it tells me that the Scrip will be lost.

any ideas?

An Agent (a program that is being triggered by your button) can either be LotusScript or a Simple Action, but not both. It can also be Formula language or Javascript, but only 1=one.

Post the LotusScript and let's take a look. Do you have the Designer client? This is going to be necessary in order to modify the LS......
