I used to have a screensaver for my 5340 when we were running 4.0.
Since the upgrades to 4.1 amd now 4.2 , I cannot select the screensaver on the HTML apps rtab for the user.

I now have a 5360 and have the HTML apps 2.2 and have modified the example scrensave and uploaded it to the Controller ( cxi)
If i ftp into the controller , i can see the new screensave.spx file .
The phone however willnot show anything other than the default screensaver?

I have seen in the docs that no html license is required for a branding screensaver.
can any one suggest the missing steps to make this work again

I think HTML licenses are needed for a screensaver IME. It used to be the case that any app created using HTML toolkit 1 did not need a license but not sure now.

Did you resolve this? It says in the developers guide you do not need the licensebut I aslo can not get this to work without one.

Just tried it with the license and no different, what location did you find the files with ftp?

We now have it working, When you create you jpeg files windows automatically sets the jpg extension to lower case, the Mitel supplied manifest files has jpeg written in upper case, when we got these matched we could upload with No Licenses added as documented.

Boycey9, this has jogged my memory, we had the same issue and found exactly the same thing. In the end we found it was down to the program used to create the jpg. From memory if you use paint then this creates the correct .JPG rather than other ptlrograms that create .jpg

Names and Case match.

I used the HTML uploader to upload them , and did a htmlappupgrade - still no change on the 5360 - not displaying these Jpg images ? just the default pictures

Does the spx file have to be called screensaver.spx- I cannot upload this as it says there is a R1 version already there.
Been trying to find the location of this R1 file but cant .

No it can be called anything, can you upload and get the mitel branded one working?

Yep the default one that is on the controller works on the 5360.

I cant get anything else to work
