screensaver info needed

trying to build a screen saver using flash that can
a. work
b. read from a text file
this is so a non flash user can post a text file that the screen saver reads from. is ths possible. it would be updated via an intranet.
if anyone has any info at all on screensavers i would love to know as i have never made one before.
