Hi all,

I have an application with some 30+ forms.

Based upon a security table that I have set up determines which menu buttons are available to a user. However, upon logging in the user can see all of these forms having there various buttons enabled/disabled.

Is there any method of hiding all of this and displaying the system main menu once all of the login procedure has been completed. Something along the lines of 'app.screenupdating = false' like in Excel would be ideal.

Is ther such a function in VB6.

TIA
Chris

My 1st thought is do the forms need to be visible while the user is logging in ?

Could you not just load the forms into memory to amend the menu options and only show the required form once all of this is done

Thanks Gary,

I just set all of my forms to start invisible and this seemed to do what I required.

Cheers,
Chris
