When in Access a colleague of mine says that his screen shakes as though something is interfering with it like a mobile phone. But it only happens in Access. Any Ideas?

the process is generating an (unintentional?) loop which re-freshes the display. A SIMPLISTIC example might be to include:

"Me.Refresh"

within some code running on the basis of a timer.

Real examples are more subtle - but the results indistinguishable. Your "friend" needs to basically step (or trace) through the code of the form and see what is being called frequently and (perhaps) even the repetitive sequence of 'calls'. These will at least show the locus of the problem.
