Hello,

I tried to change the resolution of a 14 inch screen from 800*600 to 1024*768 (Windows 95). When I did this the screen had squiggley lines all over it and could not be used. Can somebody please let me know what I can do to fix this situation (I have restarted the computer several times and cannot get a clear screen to change the resolution.

Thanks

Restart the system in safe mode and then change the resolution back to the old one, after a reboot it should be fine. I'd check on an updated video driver for your card, maybe then you'll be able to get your resolution better.

pcheather@home.net

The problem is not with the video card, but the fact that the monitor does not support the higher resolution.
Al
atc-computing@home.com

To start your pc in safe mode, switch it on and keep franticaly pressing F8. It may take a few attempts.
