This one is bizarre!
Kit: Belkin 802.11g Wireless Network Adaptor
Windows XP Pro SP1 + all latest updates (brand new install)
Draytek Vigor 2600we Wireless Router/ADSL Modem/Firewall
nVidia GeForce4 Ti 4800 SE 128MB - Ver 45.23 Det Drivers
GigaByte MoBo GA-8IEXP - 1GB DDR RAM
1x120GB HDD (Sys). 1x250GB HDD (Data Vol)
AOC TFT Flat Monitor - supports up to 1280x1024 @ 75Hz
When my screen resolution is set to 1024x768 I have no problem.
As soon as I change my screen resolution in display properties to 1280x1024 then I lose my wireless connection!
The modem is still connected, and I can connect to the internet with other PC's in the house, so I know it doesn't get as far as the router. Plus, I cannot ping anything at all on the LAN including the router!
The router can be "seen" however, XP tells me there is a wireless Network that can be seen - I select it, and choose "Connect", and it disappears off-screen. Ah! connecting you think - then it just comes back and says that the same wireless network has been found again - repeat ad infinitum.
Latest drivers for Belkin PCI wireless network adaptor have been installed.
BTW - all these components worked before I installed a clean version of XP
Have re-installed XP twice now - and same problem.
Any ideas anyone?
