screen res issue

hello

i have a database with a three pane frameset.
the background images in the framseset have text on them.
they are set to be used in 1024x768.
when a user viwes the database in 1500x1024 the images appear stretched.

is there a way of detecting what screen res the user has and displaying hte appropriate images?
