How do I setup adobe Indesign CS2 to make picture frames come out screened when printed. I don't want the text screened just the the pictures.

The Printer is a HP Laserjet 5100 and the settings I need are:

Black Separation
Frequency - 85 lpi
Angle - 15

And when I tried to print them and I got a white washout on the images.

Also how do I make picture captions without making 2 seperate frames. I would like to be able to put the caption under the image in the same frame.

Please Help me, I would be greatly appreciated.

If the text (or any other element) is 100% K, there is no screening to be worried about. Screens only occur on halftones. Screen settings are found in the print dialog, just like any other design program.

If you want a caption in the same frame as the image, place the image inline with the text. (Use the text cursor to place the image)

Hi thank you for the information, I need the images screened with the settings above, I need it for print. It has to be a black only seperation.

Can someone please help me with my screening problem

As noted earlier, screen settings are found in the print dialog, just like any other design program.

If the settings are not there, then you are not using a printer that supports line screens. You cannot enter line screen values if you are using an inkjet printer, for example.
