Hi all.

I apoloigize for this thread. I have an Alienware (like 3 yrs old) laptop, (sorry there wasnt a laptop fourm) and when I power it on.. it posts (with no visual) and I can even log into windows and hear the startup sound.. but again no visual.. sometimes the visual works.. most of the time it dosent. I did this overnight.. with no degrade in performance. Any suggestions? This is rather important.

Thanks in advance.

Tha cause may be either a loose or failing video card(or a failing video adapter built into the MB in lieu of a video card), a loose or bad cable that connects the video card(or adapter) and the screen, or a failing screen.

If possible, connect the laptop to an external monitor.
If that works ok, then the internal cable is either loose or bad, or the screen is failing.

If the same problem happens with an external monitor, then the video card(or adapter) may be failing.
