thread99-1660481
Hi Skip, as someone who was literally chucked in at the deep end with all of this, Monday just gone (I have no prior experience of attach mate) I'm trying to accelerate my learning curve as much I can. The best place I seem to have found is this forum and I've noted your knowledge in this area
Forgive my rudimentary knowledge here but it would appear that the key areas are scraping the data, posting data to the screen and establishing certainty that when text is posted to the screen / submitted that the app has sufficient time to process it before moving to the next line. From my initial foray I realised that the timing issue was the real ball ache to overcome. When I stepped through my code it worked, when I just executed it, the screen got itself in a right pickle - and that's not difficult!
Anyway, In the thread above you touched upon a screen map table you've put together. I'm very interested to know how it works and how I could go about creating one and utilising it for my circumstances. If there are any other utilities like this you'd suggest creating from the off then please let me know
I don't expect to be spoon fed, just looking for some good pointers/advice so I can establish some strong foundations
Would be grateful for any help
Anthony
