Hi all.
I'm using a HP c8000 workstation with HP-UX 11.11, that normally comes with CDE installed, but I asked my IT specialist to switch to GNOME, which is also present.
Unfortunately it's Gnome version 1.4, but anyway after some adjustments it seems to work fine, at least for my needs.
There's only one BIG problem that we weren't able to overcome: when I lock the screen, both via the command and automatically from Xscreensaver, then my password isn't recognized and I have to kill the Xscreensaver appl from a telnet session.
Looking around, I found some hints about modifing the pam.conf file, but every attemp failed.
Does anyone have an idea?
Please consider that I am a skilled user, but NOT a programmer, so please be very clear...
I also don't have root access, but in case I can ask the above IT specialist.
Thank you very much in advance
Al
