Not sure if this is a hardware or software problem, but it seems to be happening with excel and word so I'm asking here first.
I have a customer who is using her Windows NT 4.0 Server as her server/workstation(I know, I know....I'm trying to get her to upgrade but until then). When she opens an excel/word document, it shows up for 10 seconds then the screen goes black. Only way to get out of it is hard boot the pc. Other apps(DacEasy, AOL, Tapeware) that are opened work just fine.
A week ago the same problme arose and I uninstalled office and reinstalled, not work. I renamed normal.dot and seemed to fix it for a week but now it is back. we have renamed normal.dot again but didnt' seem to help this time.
Any ideas? Do I need to give more info?
