screen flickers

i have just assembled new computer. it is ok with crt monoter with any resolution setting. but i just bought a packard bell tft monitor in which display flicks with all resolution specially in 800 by 600. if i change it into other setting 640 by 480 or something else it works for a while and starts flicks again. i have got built in graphics and its gigabyte motherboard with 256mb memory amd athlon 2800. help me please

TFT's should be set at their native maximum resolution and refresh rate to display a decent picture, they are not like CRT's that can display at most settings upto and including their max.
See monitor packaging or manual for required settings.
