Screen flashes between forms 1

Hi,
When I select a choice from the Switchboard form, and then come back to it, my screen flashes between the forms. Is it my slow processor (I'm using a Celeron 400mhz)? Should I go to form properties and make the form "invisible" somehow when it closes, or is no longer the active form? I'm not losing sleep over this, but I would like to know...thanks.

If you are having in intermission period between forms, you may want to check the weight of the forms. Meaning, are there many controls on the form, excessive code in the class module? Controls like images, and memo fields slow down a form. Lots of combo boxes and list boxes will slow it down also.

I do have the forms kind of loaded up, even with pictures on some (2k to 10k) per record. I can live with the flashing in order to have the data, now that I understand it.
