screen across fx

I havent been able to find an answer for this in the search or FAQ, so sorry if there is something there.
I am trying to create an effect whereby i have picture on my screen and when i press a button a layer tweens across the picture and then tweens back. when it is tweening back it shows a new picture, new page,etc. I can make it tween across but cant get the button scripts right, any help is appreciated.

You mean a wipe shape kind of tween over the picture, and then it unveils the other picture, when it has loaded? Or a sliding door type kind of effect? Regards,

instead of the text that appears you can put some pictures.

i am after a sliding door type effect - a layer slides across (from right to left back to right) and it acts like an eraser. it ' erases' the first picture and then unveils the new picutre (which corresponds) with a new page. i.e they are on home, then they click on gallery. the slide goes over home picture and when it comes back it reveals gallery photo and info. hope that is clearer, thanks again oldnewbie and bubu.
