Scratch Set/Save Set, Append, Overwrite Questions

Will Arcserve append to media in the scratch set?

Do the options for back-up media only apply to the scratch set?

Is the info in the scratch set still retrievable?

Even though Arcserve asks for a specific or blank tape the next time around does it matter as long as that media is in the scratch set?

At the moment I have an incremental back-up on Mon, Thr, and Fri. A full on Tue and no back-up on Wed. I would like to append Mon, Thr and Fri to one tape and have a separate tape for Tue. Will i have to set up a separate job for Tue since Tue's session will be looking for Mon's tape? If I use a blank on Tue. will Wed. session be looking for Tue's tape?

I also implemented zero for # of media and retention so the media immediatly enter the scratch set.

If anyone has info but is slightly confused please ask and i will try to clarify.
