SCR/SCN programming for second line on 3310 sets

Hi,

I'm looking for a better way to manage some 2616 digital sets on our option 11 system. Currently 3 company directors have their direct lines mapped to key 00 as the SCR , and the numbers of the other 2 mapped as key 03 SCN, and key 04 SCN.

The problem is, whenever one of them is on the line, you can see all 3 sets showing as 'busy' on LD20 > PRT > STAT (line card). They can still use their phones, but intermittently the line card seems to get overloaded, and the phones all drop dial tone. This means I have to go and re-plug the phones. Not the best solution.

Anyone have ideas on how to show a call to another DN on a set, but not hold the line to 'busy' ? Directors have already made it clear they don't want group pickup.

replace that line card, i have full cards with 10 and 12 scrs on every phone without that problem. llok up fbs keys, i don't like them but they work

Thanks for the info. I will swap out the card as soon as I can get some downtime.

To confirm though - are saying you should be able to program as many SCR/SCN keys on 2616 phones as you want without causing any effect to the loading of the line card ?

Also - does anyone have any more info on FBS keys ? I'm having trouble finding any mention of them in the manuals...

try bfs, it gives you a lamp when any line is busy on that tn, and if you press it once it blinks and you just forwarded it to yourself. you don;t need/want to wait for down time, disc x x x (ld 32) replace the card enlc x x x, and you can not overload a dig line card, you can over load a loop but you would almost have to try. on one of our larger switches we have over 5000 acd agents without a speech path problem.
