I have used scp to copy files from linux to linux but whan i want to scp files from my linux pc to our solaris server i get this error:

[root@haneo codes]# scp /root/vide mail.haneo.net:/vide
root@mail.haeo.net's password:
scp: warning: Executing scp1 compatibility.
scp: FATAL: Executing ssh1 in compatibility mode failed (Check that scp1 is in your PATH).
lost connection

What this meen ?

This means that you have different versions of SSH installed on both servers.

One server uses ssh1 and the other ssh2. If you work with ssh2 you will have to install ssh1 additionally if you need downgrade-compatibilty and this has not been done on the server working with ssh2.
