Problems with network printing. Jobs should be going to a windows box that can accept Unix print jobs, however they don't get there or are rejected. Yes, I know both printers are sending to the same ip(hostname).

Lpstat -t shows:

santwo:
queuing is enabled
scosysv.UUCP.com: waiting for queue to be enabled on unidec
Req-Id Owner Size Date
santwo-0 map 86 Jun 4 13:46

/usr/lib/lpd: |: Host name for your address (144.148.48.124) unknown
samlt:
queuing is enabled
scosysv.UUCP.com: waiting for queue to be enabled on unidec
Req-Id Owner Size Date
samlt-0 map 86 Jun 4 13:44

/usr/lib/lpd: |: Host name for your address (144.148.48.124) unknown

When I run "accept santwo" as root, get:
"UX:accept: WARNING: Destination "santwo" was already accepting requests."

Can someone explain why it says "waiting for queue to be enabled"?

thanks
gryph

use lpstat -o <printername> to get its status and queue.
check root mail to see if there are any errors being mailed.
check the permissions on the printer files, if these are wrong it can show as queue disable or not ready etc. <hr>
