I wanted to know if there is a better way than the large file size produced by tweening text verticaly upwards behind a mask.

Thanks for the replys but i'm actually trying to have the text scroll for 3 seconds upwards as soon as the movie is loaded. I'm not looking to manually scroll text but rather have it scrol on its own.

I've have script scripted to check if movie is loaded then goto a frame. How can I do this?
