SCO UNIX modems

Good Morning:

I need to create a script that will send AT modem setup commands. Having never done this before could anyone provide me with an example? The system is SCO Openserver 5.0.5, the modem is some type of 'cellular' master modem (whatever that is) & is connected to tty1A16. (Equinox board)
