I am currently running SCO UNIX 5.04 on an IBM Netfinity 5500 M10. I have recently added a second CPU. Both processors are 550 Pentium III xeon’s

I successfully added the SCO SMP software and linked the second processor into the kernel. Everything seems to be fine but with out warning the system locks up. There appears to be no warnings and no error messages that appear in the syslog.

When I boot to Unix.Old the system seems to be stable.

Any ideas

dannyd@aboveboardelectronics.com
Yes I looked through the SCO site (<A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> found several pathes that I needed to install.

· SCO SMP software (SCO 5.04)
· rs504c
· oss469d
· oss623a
· oss601a

I can only install up to patch oss623a. It is at that point I start getting a large number of kernal errors and I am unable to relink the kernal. I then have to remove all of the patches in reverse order. I think I might be missing something. Any ideas

Please advise

dcd@pop.mainstreet.net
