Two days ago we had a hard drive fail on an SCO box with Raid 5, there are 3 disks. We called out the maintenance guy who brought out a new disk and tried to recover from the other two. Now when we boot it up it comes up with the following error:
Panic: HTFS: bad dir ino2 (offset 40) on HTFS dev hd (1/42) trying to dump 130974 pages to dump dev hd (1/41), 1638 pages per ‘ ‘
I have been reading that we shouldn't do an fsck as it can mess around with the raid 5 system. Is there anything we can do to recover the system?
