sco openserver 5, terminal disabled see account admin

sco openserver 5, terminal disabled - see account admin, the user has somehow disabled the terminal and can't login like
they normally do. there is no account admin. They have no support for sco openserver. Is there away around this? I've been told terminal manager, but how do I get into the system? help please!!!

u mean to say u donot have supervisory (root) password. then how do u shutdown the system.

or u have specail a/c created called shutodown or seomthing

i root passwd is msiing then u can boot with boot floppies and mount your hdd then remove the password in /etc/shadow. and /etc/passwd.

if u do not have folppieswith install floppies but first read about it at

beacuse one mistake would require complete re-installation. however,as a precauiton

As root execute the following command:

ttyunlock ttyXX

where ttyXX is the locked terminal
