Hi, i have recently decided 2 install SCO UNIX Opensever 4.2 onto one of my computers at home.
The only problem is, that the Installation disks have been overwritten with something else, and there is no way for the CD to boot, so i cant install :(

Does anyone know where i can find Disk images for the wrecked install disks? or does anyone have copies?

Help would b much appreciated...
Thanks

How about being a little more specific on the version.
There is 4.2 disk and tape versions and a 4.2 CD open desktop and some others whose designation I can't remember.
I have some available.

Thanks for being so quick!

It contains 3 1/2in Floppys - 5 1/2 Floppys and 1 CD

The CD Says "SCO UNIX Operating System Version 4.2"

and the side of the huge box says "SCO OpenServer"

This isnt the Tape version

Anyway, OSR 4.2 is VERY old and is unlikely to install properly on decently recent hardware.
Just my 2 cents.

Aaah... Ive found the version number

It says on the side "REV LEVEL 3.2V4.2 CD/ROM DUAL MEDIA"

Its this helpful?

Don't know if the N1, N2, and M1 from disk/tape set will work but I'll look tonight to see if CD is one of the choices.

In the meantime, you can email your address.
