My new server has 4 processors and all are recognized during boot up. If I look in License Manager I can see all 4 and their respective License but SCO only reports 1
(%CPU) ??

You say sco only reports 1 (%CPU) ?? Where does it report this ? In sar? You should use mpsar on an SMP system.

During boot-up the hardware is recognized first, then as SCO is loading and displaying devices I can only see %CPU (not all four). When I check License manager all 4 show. How can I tell if the system is really using all 4? (and why does it only report %CPU once?)

# hw -v -r cpu
reports back there is one CPU on this system.
Type: unknown

I am having a problem like this.
Sar trying to run in the backgroud says:
/usr/bin/cpusar: This is not an MPX system

Mpstat says:
t6super - root($0) -> mpstat
mpstat: /dev/at1: open: No such file or directory
Yet the it does appear to be there.

Licensed, all seems well there. Custom says good things about the install of SMP.
Not sure where to go with this...

Check for patches not installed. Some versions have OSxxx patches that need to be installed.

Checked all patches are applied that are relavent to SMP.
Thanks
Jim

Have you installed SMP during ISL or later ?
If installed after any patch already applied, then I suggest a 3 steps job:
1) Rollback ALL patches and supplements applied, uninstall SMP
2) Install SMP, brand it
3) Apply all patches and supplements
As usual the step #0 is: be sure to have a RELIABLE backup.

Hope This Help
PH.
