I just set up a new machine and while trying to install SCO UnixWare 7.1.1 it accepts all preliminary info and even accepts the Response diskette. It accepts that I will install from a CD-ROM but when it gets ready to copy from the CD-ROM to do the actual installation it gives me an error saying "saying setup cannot continue due to one of the following:
1) The HDD controller is bad.
2) [Can't remember the second one.]
3) Incorrect external CPU frequency.
I am able to install DOS 6.22 and MSFT Windows 98 without any problems and all equipment except for the mother board have been in use for over a year and work well with no problems. I have actually tried to install SCO on two motherboards and they give the same errors.
Is it that SCO will not install on this system as it is AMD.
Motherboard: ASUS A7V-E, KT133
CPU: AMD Duron 1000 MHz
Remeber, life is what you make it.
