Hi,

I have a Compaq Ml370 G1 with the integrated Smart Array Controller. I am trying to Install Sco 5.0.6 but with no luck so far.

I keep getting "No Root Disk Found" etc when the HW info is displayed and after entering the licence information, resulting in the setup stopping.

I have the latest EFS available V5.4a (I think) for Sco Openserver that contains the BTLD's for the controller.

I think that the controller uses the IDA driver rather than the CISS driver as i think the CISS is for the 431 cards upwards.

If anyone can tell me if i am correct in thinking i need to be using the IDA driver. Also if anyone can help guide me through the install steps it would be most appreciated.

Thanks

HI PHV,

Thanks for your reply.

I have Sco Openserver 5.0.6 running on a ML370 G3, and i wanted to put it on this ML370 G1 as a sort of test machine for testing new code on before letting it on our live server.

Well, aside the hardware you may have some licensing issue doing that.
