Issue:
User can record greeting on Phone (Visual Voicemail and *17) Marked active for all calls.
While in setup can listen to recorded greeting.
If user calls from remote location, while getting messages (*7), users cannot change greeting (option 3 is invalid)

IP Office 500 V2 3 locations:
Site A (HQ)
Central Voicemail IP Office Application server. 8.1.9016.0
Distributed show up-to-date

Site B
Windows PC running VMPro version 8.1.9102.0

Site C
Windows Server running VMPro version 8.1.9016.0

All voicemail seems to be transferring fine, and everything else seems to be working. Greetings are the current issue.

Thanks,
Jason

I would try to get all 3 voicemail pro servers on the same version.
Then see what happens.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

We have seen this too and it was confirmed by Avaya to be broken. no clue if or when they will fix it. we ended up getting rid of distributed VM. it really never worked right. you could have your users call into a DID on the main sites Vm and it may fix it.

greetings are local, messages re retrieved from the main Vm (as far as I remember) that would explain this behaviour.
Not being excused because it should be able to be done but it would explain it.
