any ideas if there is something else i should be looking at?

thanks for any help

Is the user getting their correct name and settings when logging in on the remote system? It could be that auto create user and extension is just generating the user and extn for you and site A has no knowledge of the new user a SCN isn't running correctly, just a thought :)

Just re-read, what I said makes no sense forget that, but is SCN running OK i.e can site A and B ring each other etc?

Hi we had a problem pretty much identical to yours on a site recently.

It was to do with user rights as these are not transfered when user logs in at a remote site (although if there is a user right at the remote site with the same name the user will use those rights)

Also do you have the advanced networking license as this is needed to allow remote hotdesking

hi,

calls can be made between the sites.

we've recreated user rights on each site with the same name to give user same rights when hotdesking on remote site.
did you get this remote user rights to work across the scn?

yes advanced networking license is installed.

Do you perhaps configured the user on both sites ?
And as mentioned above, do you have advanced networking ?

Have just re-read original post and our fault was actually slightly different.

When user logged on at remote site they were unable to transfer calls as they only had one call appearance key.

Once we created the user rights at the remote site all worked.

Just a thought you havn't got enable dnd ticked and apply user rights value set for the remote user rights have you?

not using shortcodes to ring remote extensions. advanced networking taking care of that.

users all have 3 call appearance buttons.

dnd not enabled. sorry but i don't understand the last part of the question.

Sorry. I was asking if DND had been automatically set by the user rights at the remote site.

will try the fast start option when i get back to site.

no dnd not automatically set by user rights.

failing that can you run a trace using monitor and post here, that will tell exactly what is going on.
