I have a simple app that performs calculations. The final output is in the form at of "#.#E+#" for example "7.9E+17". But I can't figure out how to set the number of significant figures.

My result is coming out as (for example) 7.93245232342E+17, how to I set the significant figures?

Please disregard, I found the answer. FYI, I used the Format function.

Dim temptotal as String

temptotal = Format(freqtotalaa, "Scientific")

lbltotaa.Text = temptotal
