Hi,

is there a way of telling whether a Windows 2000 DC has had the Windows 2003 adprep forest & domain prep schema updates performed on it?

Cheers

I think there should be a logfile in "%systemroot%\System32\Debug\Adprep\Logs" that will help. It should be on the DC on which adprep was run.

You can verify the operating system support level of the schema by looking at the value of the Schema Version registry subkey on a domain controller. You can find this subkey in the following location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\NTDS\Parameters

Hope this helps

This is from memory but im pretty sure its accurate:

Windows 2000 Server = Schema Version 13
Windows 2003 Server = Schema Version 30
Windows 2003 Server R2 = Schema Version 31
