I am trying to make a space for students to be able to schedule office hours with me. My site is the following:

Under the "fixer rendez-vous" section, I have linked this popup window to a web based commenting system. It works well, except that the users cannot cancel a message should they not be able to make it. Therefore, this becomes a problem as I will undoubtedly get so many people writing me saying "I cannot come". bah blah blah...this is what I am trying to avoid as I deal with so many students and prefere to not have to deal with any scheduling.

i HAVE looked at the many scheduling software out there and am rather disappointed in them--they are bulky, too large for my website and are too complex. I want a simple interface with check boxes or anything really that students click, add their name and leave. and if they want to cancel, they log back on, click to cancel their appointment, and so forth.

How can I write my own php script like this (my server wold host it) where the users coming to make an appointment can cancel their posting if they so desire?

this is not a difficult application to write. it's a combination of user management plus "slot" management. should take someone a day or so.

i don't think that people on this forum will volunteer to write it for you but if you run into specific problems we'll be glad to help.

if you don't have the skills/time to write it yourself I suggest you document your requirements as precisely as possible and then post a bid on
