Does anyone know how I can schedule an Access report/query/macro to run from NT.
Possibly via a batch file ?

Julie,

First you need to get your data and query/report/macro set up. The you would call that query/report/macro in your autoexec macro so that it fires upon opening the database.

Next, NT has a scheduler called AT. If you go to a DOS prompt and type "AT /?", it will give you the syntax. It is a little cryptic, but works pretty good once you get it set up.

Let me know if you need any more help with the AT command.

Ever notice that by the time that you realize that you ran a truncate script on the wrong instance, it is too late to stop it?

You could also open a form in the database that has its timer set to 1 second. On the 'on timer' event of the form, you can check the current time against a field on the form that contains the time you want to run your query/report/etc. When they are equal, fire your code to run your stuff. We use something similar to this where I work to compact and repair all of our databases overnight.

I have a freeware program called MDBTask.
It is an agent program that schedules routine tasks for access.

I havent used yet it on NT.

You can download it from:
