Hi All,

I have several jobs being run currently as VBScripts, scheduled by Windows Scheduler. All of them involve connecting to database and performing data conversions.

My question is, will there be any advantage in rewriting these jobs as Oracle Scheduled Jobs.

TIA,
Sheila

Sheila,

IMHO, you are running fine the way you are. The risk you run by scheduling them as Oracle jobs is that if somehow the Oracle agent service (which actually runs your Oracle jobs per your schedule) is down, your jobs don't run. That, frankly, is why I prefer the o/s scheduling.
