Scheduler returns ActiveX error

I'm using Cognos Impromptu Series 7 Version 2. When I
try to launch Cognos Scheduler, I get an error
message:

CognosBIBatcher60
CognosBIInstMgr60.AppInstance
ActiveX component can't create object

Uninstalling and reinstall Cognos Series 7 didn't help any.

Think most people find the cognos Scheduler to be pretty rubbish. The back end is an MS Access database which might be corrupted.

Have you tried using windows Scheduler instead? You won't be able to run impromptu reports directly with this so you will have to write a macro and then place the path of the .mcx file into a .bat file which the Scheduler uses. Easy as that!!
