I just inherited a PS 7.5x process scheduler installation running on NT. It will be switched to 8 soon, but 7.5 will be running for the next month or so. We have 2 instances of the scheduler running. One of them switches the log file 5 times every 10 seconds. The other instance switches the log file 5 times every 15 seconds. The schedulers have been closing out on their own, so I believe the problem may be with these constantly changing log files.

When I say switch log files, the log will write "Switching log files... log file switched", 5 times in sucession, then after an interval, will repeat.

Any ideas?
TIA

Can you please elaborate about your system and versions? When you say log do you mean application server log? Can you tell us the setup of your database? Are you using TUXEDO? When you say 2 instances of process scheduler, does this mean running on the same database? If you can tell us more about your setup then maybe somebody can help.

I'm little bit confused because I have done a lot of PS installation and even done load balancing but I have not encountered a client that wants two process scheduler in one database instance...I know for sure that you can run as many process scheduler in one server but that is per database..
