Hi

I am using Cognos Scheduler to Automate my cube build. I have created a simple batch file and called it in Scheduler. The problem is: It seesm I have to stay logged on to the computer for this to work. Is there a way I can log off, and still get scheduler to work?

thanks

Hi,

I have found this to be one of the shortcomings with using cognos scheduler - it is not possible to run scheduler as a service, hence in order to use scheduler, your computer must be logged on.

Your best bet is to try using some non-cognos scheduling tool to run your batch file, such as WinAt.

Cheers
J
