Hello,
I have a few .vbs and .js script files that I need to schedule via the Windows Scheduled Tasks. My workplace does not permit accounts to be included in the Administrators Group. Does anyone know what privileges and/or polices are required for an account to schedule jobs?

Thanks for reading!

I believe it depends on what the scripts will do, and making sure that whatever account you use has the ability to perform those tasks. You can usually validate that by logging into the server as the account and attempt to run the script. Or do a runas and enter creds as the user.

Plan for performance, and capacity takes care of itself. Plan for capacity, and suffer poor performance.

You will need to have "run as batch" privileges on the machine. This is usually accomplished by using an account that has local administrator privileges.

Alternatly, by using the "AT" command (old school, huh?), the scheduled job will run under the auspicies of SYSTEM. That will get you full rights to the box. To create the job in the first place, you will need to be the local administrator.
