Scheduled tasks fail

Good Morning,

Since rebuilding our EPO server on a fresh install of 3.01 and importing the database from the previous installation of 3.01, we have been having serious problems with Update tasks.

They work once, but on any subsequent run, the message

Error CCompile::CompressTask() - Task no Found Task ID is 843, TaskPath is 1_7;6_6;

Deleting and recreating the task will correct this problem, but having to do so whenever there is an update is problematic at best.

I have opened a ticket with NAI concerning this, but no response has been forthcoming as of yet.

Has anyone else experienced this problem, or better yet, come across a solution.

I have a similar problem since upgrading to 3.01 However, I get a different error message in my Task Logs, "ran with errors". I noticed when I check my SiteMgr.ini file within the EPO directory on the server, there is a "status=5" line that (I learned) means the task is hung up. Manually changing this to "status=0" helps for the next AutoUpdate, but then the problem re-appears.

I also have a case open with Mcafee, but I opened that about a month ago, and just this past week, it has been "escalated", whatever the hell that means. My license will expire before they get back to me!!!

So I'm working around the problem until "they" come up aith a resolution.
