Look in C:\Windows\Tasks folder for the tasks.
Copy it to the other hard drive and run it, if it fails then check the properties to make sure that the file paths and permissions still apply.

I was hoping for a simple procedure for my client on his remote machine. I will have to talk him through the set up on his machine.
Is there a way round the fact that a task may not run if a password is not set up?

The easist way around it is to create a user account with a password..... even if that's not the account that is used on a day to day basis. Use it only for scheduled tasks. If needed, this user can be hidden from the Welcome Screen.

In the windows registry at HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList create a new DWord value that exactly matches the 'scheduled task' username.

Also keep in mind that this 'task' account is a real user account which is subject to the same restrictions as any other user account. In order to access files with the the other, normal user account profile, you might have to configure the appropriate NTFS permissions.
