I have used Task Scheduler in NT and W2K without a problem for several years. I run 6-10 tasks per day. When I went to XP I setup Task Scheduler for a number of items, including using a valid user id and password, but after a few days the scheduled tasks stop working (they would run initially) and when I checked the log I get the following error:
The attempt to retrieve account information for the specified task failed; therefore, the task did not run. Either an error occurred, or no account information existed for the task.
The specific error is:
0x8004130f: No account information could be found in the Task Scheduler security database for the task indicated.
The account and password used are valid, and have proper privleges (including admin), I have also tried creating/using new userids and using the system account and it still does this. If I net stop task scheduler and restart it it works again for a number of days. I even tried to make a task to stop and restart task scheduler several times per day, but could not get it to work (if task scheduler is killed its running tasks stop). Has anyone else had this problem? Any suggestions?
