Hello:
I'm using management console ver2.5.0, build 1127, on NT server 4.0. All machines in my domain are either NT server 4.0 or NT workstation 4.0. On my component configuration, virus scan NT, detection tab I have added "all fixed disks". Everyday at noon, a full scan is scheduled for our servers and our workstations.
Our workstations scan fine, but all of a sudden the servers give the following immediate error: "The item to scan is not valid. Please make sure that you have spelled the item correctly."
??? I have tried changing the detection tab to "All local drives", "C:", "C:\", "\\myservername\C$". All give the same error. I can right-mouse-click on the C: or D: drive in my windows file explorer, and begin a scan. However, I cannot get it to scan when the command is sent from within the management console, all of a sudden. It used to work! And it still works for our workstations. It also doesn't make a difference if the server is in a domain, or is management server.
Any clues?
Cheers,
susan
