Hi,
The archived thread:
thread782-1107687

refers to this issue..I have found that CE10 does not remove the JobServer Child processes when the task is done so when the 'Maximum Jobs Allowed' limit that is set in the CMC is reached, no further scheduled reports will run..eventually they do seem to clear, but often they need to be manually killed..Not a good thing to haveeto do regularly..
Anyone found a solution/better approach?
Thanks..

Hi,
Thanks Synapse..

We are up to date on Service Packs, etc ..

This happens every now and then ( usually the first and last weeks of the Month when lots of recurring reports run)..

I have increased the Maximum # of Jobs allowed and will see if that helps..( we have lots of memory)..

It would be nice to have it 'time-out' and remove the child process if the report does not complete in a 'settable' time span ( or the request for data fails)..

Hi,

It appears that it is scheduled reports that Fail that leave the Child process behind...I have run several scheduled reports that ran OK and no Children where left behind ( The Presidnet would be so proud [wink] )
We do have a continuing problem with 2 reports that fail and, by testing various solutions, we apparently are leaving Child processes in memory.
