Scheduled report with drill-through

Here's my situation: We're using Upfront. I want to publish a summary report, with drill-through to a detail report. I don't want either report to be published in Impromptu (and therefor query the database when opened), because we've been having performance issues over dialup and satellite. I want the reports to run early in the morning, and be published as PDF's. So...

Summary Report
Division Managers facts
East Bob Smith 2200 1000
Mary Brown 2000 1100
Sue Somers 3000 1200
West Eric Ericson 2500 1100
etc.

When user clicks on "East", they get a detailed report for the East. When they click "Bob Smith," they get a detailed report for Bob Smith.

I believe I could hard-code the drill-through in the PDF, correct? But then there would have to be a report for each manager, i.e. Bob_Smith_detail.PDF, and I would have to maintain the reports when there was manager turnover.

Is there a way to create the drill-through links and generate the detail reports dynamically, running on a scheduled basis, so the user does not need to run an Impromptu report?

Thanks for any suggestions, we've recently implemented Cognos Impromptu/PowerPlay/Upfront and we're trying to find the best way to deploy reports that open quickly for the user.
