Using CR 8,5 dev, CE 8.5 --

We have hundreds of reports scheduled - and some just dont run when they're supposed to. Its not that the servers down or anything, because some of them did run - just a handful did not.

I went in and tried to reschedule them for a few hours ahead and wanted to watch to see if they ran - no go.

Then went in and put them to RUN NOW. Stil no go.

The status says they are "pending" ....

Any ideas as to why some run, some dont? Why the RUN NOW isnt firing it?

Hi,
OK one more maybe dumb question:
What happens if you click on Pending ?

Also, do the reports that do not run when scheduled, run OK when run On-Demand?

nope, they sometimes let you run them on demand and other times wont fire off...

clicking on pending does not fire them either.

When you click "Pending" you should get another page that may give a reason for the delay. It sounds like an Event dependency has been set for these reports, and the Pending link message would tell you that.

Have you checked to see if these reports are in a queue?

CE 8.5 has a critical service pack which resolved numerous concerns along these lines for me, try applying that.

There are lots of reasons why a report might not fire - the server is busy, dependencies, etc.

Select the View Instances by user/status in the Administrative Samples of the Crystal Enterprise Launchpad.

Select Running as the status, you may find that the server is maxed out with other jobs.

Also there's the issue of the Page Server errors, which the latest patch addressed.
