Scheduled DTS Package Not Working? 1

I'm a newb with DTS so I'm probably doing something silly.

I have a DTS package that executes just fine when I click the execute button.

The problem is getting it to run on a schedule. I want to have it execute every five minutes starting 30 minutes ago, but it doesn't seem to be working.

The agent service IS running.

Is there something else I need to do?

What does your package do? run stored procs? access files? It may be that it deosnt have permission to do certain things

The application event log said I kid you not: "The job failed". Thanks Microsoft!

Anyway, it turns out that manual DTS execution runs under a different account than does the SQLAgent process (which was set to local system account). I changed the SQLAgent process to use my network identity (which is set to be an administrator in SQL Server) and it worked.

So you were right about the permissions. Star for that.
